Vaccines

The providers at Framingham Pediatrics firmly believe in the effectiveness and safety of vaccines to prevent serious illness and save lives.  Please click vaccine policy to learn more.

Our vaccine schedule follows the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

Preparing For Your First Visit

We work hard to ensure that your child receives prompt medical care in a comfortable, child-friendly office setting. To help make your the first appointment as complete as possible, we ask that you please work with our staff to arrange for the transfer of immunization and medical records well in advance of your first visit.  This will allow your provider to review them before that visit.

Patient Forms

We encourage you to download, print and complete our office forms before your visit to reduce wait times during your first appointment.

What to Expect

On the day of your child's first visit to our office, we recommend arriving a few minutes early. This allows extra time for finishing up any registration forms and ensures you have plenty of time to get acquainted with our staff and office. We look forward to meeting you and joining with you to help your child maintain optimal health.

Directions

We are located just north of Route 30, across Whittier Street from BJ's and Home Goods. Many people know our location as the old Deluxe Check printing plant.

Please note that you can enter and leave the parking lot from both Newbury Street and Whittier Street, but Newbury Street is a one way street heading west towards Whittier Street and BJ’s. If you are coming from Route 30, Old Connecticut Path, or BJ’s or Target, you must enter the parking lot via the Whittier Street driveway between our building and the Sovereign Bank buildings.

Our office is at the Newbury Street end of the parking lot. There is a walkway from the lot to the entry to our suite.

Antibiotic usage by our providers

The providers at Framingham Pediatrics work very hard to use antibiotics appropriately.  We all try to educate our families on when antibiotics may or may not be indicated.  At all times, we try to use evidence-based guidelines for the appropriate use of antibiotics.

In addition, we do NOT routinely prescribe antibiotics, or most medications, over the phone or by pictures.

Technology

Framingham Pediatrics has been a pioneer with technology almost from its founding.  Currently, we use the EPIC platform as our electronic medical record (EMR).

We urge all our families to make regular use of MyChart, your 24/7 access to Framingham Pediatrics.  Please click here to see all the features available.  Briefly, you can schedule well and sick visits, securely email your provider, complete pre-visit questionnaires prior to coming to the office, request a medication refill or a referral, print health forms and update your information.
